The Surface Type Cover is a slim keyboard that has moving keys. The regular, bundled type cover has a suede, alcantara-like material on the bottom/outside. I ended up going with the savings, and now that I have both in hand, I feel like the differences are way over-stated. Everything I read said Signature has alcantara (nicer) and the other doesn't. Coming from a Surface Go with the "Signature" type cover with Alcantara, I was hesitant to pick up the SP7 w/ type cover bundle on sale, which would save me hundreds over the SP7 alone alongside a signature cover (just due to how the deals were set up at the time).
